▶ Educational experience

• From September 1981 to July 1985, he studied in water supply and drainage engineering of Tongji University and obtained bachelor's degree in engineering

• From October 1989 to December 1993, he studied for a Ph.D. degree in water supply and drainage in the Department of health engineering, Kiev University of architecture and engineering, Ukraine

▶ work experience

• From July 1985 to October 1989, he worked in the Department of water supply and drainage, Department of environmental engineering, Tongji University

•From December 1994 to December 1996, he worked at the post doctoral station of civil engineering of Tongji University, and served as a lecturer

• From January 1997 to now, he worked in the school of environmental science and engineering, Tongji University, and successively served as associate researcher and professor

The representative major scientific research projects undertaken are:

• Research and application of new filter materials in micro polluted raw water treatment

•Project of National Natural Science Foundation of China "development of new filter materials and Research on water purification mechanism"

•National 863 key technology project "drinking water safety guarantee technology in Taihu Lake"

• Key technology research and equipment development of environmental protection in small towns

• "Advanced treatment technology of microcystins and endocrine disruptors in drinking water with high algae lake type source" cultivated by Ministry of Education

•Ministry of construction water special project "East China river network County town drinking water safety technology research and demonstration"

The research projects under research are as follows:

• Major special subject of water pollution control and treatment technology: "comprehensive demonstration of urban and rural water supply safety and security in Yixing City"

• "Comprehensive application demonstration of drinking water safety guarantee in South Taihu water supply area of Huzhou", "evaluation and standardization of key technologies for urban water supply system planning and design"

• He won the second prize of Shanghai Science and technology progress in 2007 and the second prize of Ministry of education in 2006
