Mainly engaged in sewage treatment, urban sewage sludge treatment and resource utilization, comprehensive treatment of black and odorous water, rural water supply safety and other aspects of research

At present, he is a member of International Water Association and China Chemical Society. As the main person in charge, he has completed 12 research projects including national 863 sub projects, National Natural Science Foundation projects and key projects of the Ministry of education, and won one second prize of science and technology progress award of Jilin Province and four registered scientific and technological achievements of Jilin Province.
At present, he has presided over the research work of four projects, including the general projects of NSFC, the R & D projects of key fields of Guangdong Province, and the general projects of NSFC of Guangdong Province. He has published more than 30 papers in water research, Journal of cleaner production, Journal of nanoscience and nanotechnology, water science and technology and other international journals, obtained 7 national invention patents, participated in the compilation of 2 Monographs on sludge treatment and resource utilization, and directed the scientific research of 5 postgraduates. As reviewer of international journals WR, BT, EES, jesh-a, etc. He has undertaken 12 undergraduate and postgraduate courses at all levels, including the postgraduate course solid waste treatment, two undergraduate theoretical courses environmental education and water supply and drainage network system, and also offered undergraduate general courses and informal courses.
