Yang Wenzhong

▶ Biography of characters

Yang Wenzhong, Professor (doctoral supervisor), is the dean of School of chemistry and molecular engineering, Nanjing University of technology, and director of Institute of water treatment technology. He is also the director of China Petroleum and chemical industry water treatment chemical engineering research center, director of Jiangsu Provincial Water Chemistry and industrial water treatment engineering laboratory, and President of Nanjing highly toxic and explosive chemicals management association.

He is mainly engaged in water (seawater) chemistry and industrial water treatment, corrosion electrochemistry, biomedical metal materials, advanced wastewater treatment and resource utilization.

From 1987 to 1991 and 1991-1994, they respectively obtained bachelor and master's degrees in corrosion and protection and Applied Chemistry of Nanjing Chemical College, and stayed at the University for teaching; from 2003 to 2007, they received doctoral degree in Applied Chemistry in Nanjing University of technology. He was promoted to Professor in 2008

Now, he is chairman of Jiangsu water chemistry and water treatment Committee, chairman of the board of supervisors of Jiangsu chemical society, vice chairman of water treatment professional committee of China Chemical Society, vice chairman of corrosion inhibitor Professional Committee of China corrosion and protection society, vice chairman of water supply and drainage professional committee of China soil woodworking society, and technical member of national pressure vessel standardization Deputy Secretary General of the sub committee of heat transfer medium, executive director of China Boiler Water Treatment Association, and Editorial Committee of industrial water treatment and industrial water and wastewater magazine.

He has presided over 10 projects including 863 project, National Science and technology support plan project from the eighth five year plan to 12th Five Year Plan, National Science and technology major special project and national key R & D plan, and has undertaken more than 200 projects entrusted or transformed by enterprises and institutions such as Sinopec, PetroChina and China investment group. More than 100 academic papers were published, including 40 articles included in SCI, and nearly 10 national invention patents were obtained. Experts involved in the review of water treatment agents in Encyclopedia of China and chemical dictionary are the participants or reviewers of many domestic water treatment standards.

It has won 1 second prize of national science and technology progress, 7 provincial and ministerial awards, national excellent chemical science and technology worker (2005), youth and middle-aged academic leader of "blue and blue project" in Jiangsu University (2008-2012), Jiangsu Province fourth "333 high-level talent training project" (2013-2015), etc.
