The goals and tasks of the three-year action to improve the rural living environment in Qinghai Province were completed on schedule

Recently, the reporter learned from the Provincial Department of agriculture and rural areas that after three years of rural living environment improvement, the goals and tasks of our province will be completed as scheduled in 2020.

According to statistics, 200000 sanitary latrines were reconstructed in the province in three years, and the popularization rate of sanitary latrines increased by 22.5% to 54.4%. Among them, the popularization rate of harmless sanitary toilets in 6 first-class counties reached 93.9%, 8 second-class counties reached 85.5%, and 31 third-class counties reached 37.9%. The first and second-class counties exceeded the target tasks, the popularization rate of sanitary toilets in third-class counties generally increased, and the rural toilet revolution achieved remarkable results.

Rural domestic waste has been effectively treated. All administrative villages in the province are equipped with waste collection and transfer facilities. The mechanism of village collection, township transfer and county treatment has been further improved. The integrated urban-rural waste treatment system has been explored and promoted in some counties. 91.7% of administrative villages have been treated. Daily cleaning mechanism has been established in all administrative villages, and 195 irregular waste dumps have been renovated and cancelled. The total number of domestic sewage treatment projects in 456 administrative villages has been completed, and the effective treatment rate has reached 11%. The target task of 10% has been exceeded, and the rural domestic sewage treatment rate has gradually increased.

At the same time, 4146 administrative villages were fully covered in the "three clean, one change and six disorder" village cleaning action, 1000 clean villages were selected and encouraged, 406 demonstration villages with long-term mechanism of village cleaning were supported, 2100 plateau beautiful village projects were implemented, 70000 farmers and herdsmen housing improvement projects were implemented, and the administrative village roads were hardened to realize village to village connection, and the appearance of villages was significantly improved.
