    Liu Wenqing (1954.1.9 -) environmental monitoring technology expert. He was born in Bengbu City, Anhui Province, and was originally from Xuzhou City, Jiangsu Province. He graduated from the Department of physics, University of science and technology of China in 1978, and received a doctor's degree from the school of Health Sciences, Crete University in Greece in 1995. At present, he is a researcher of Hefei Institute of material science, Chinese Academy of Sciences, director of Anhui Institute of Optics and precision machinery, and director of National Engineering Technology Research Center for environmental optical monitoring instruments.

▶ Main experience

    Mainly engaged in environmental monitoring technology and application research, developed new methods of environmental optical monitoring, developed a series of environmental monitoring technology and equipment and realized industrialization, integrated air pollution comprehensive three-dimensional monitoring system and applied demonstration. A new field of environmental optical monitoring technology in China has been developed. It has obtained 42 invention patents and published more than 160 SCI papers in domestic and foreign academic journals. The research achievements won two second prizes of national science and Technology Progress Award (2007 "air quality and pollution source environmental optical monitoring technology system and application", 2011 "atmospheric environment comprehensive three-dimensional monitoring technology research and development, system application and equipment industrialization"), and four first prizes of provincial and ministerial science and technology. Won the 2012 major science and technology achievement award of Anhui Province.

    He was elected academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering in 2013.
